lyrics
A venture into kingdoms of moss
Passages dwindling in seamless movement
Lured towards a waterfall
Emerging from the bog
A creature of such awful yet benevolent nature
Upon the strings, rests it's fingers
Feeding forests with the sounds of purity
Wanting only for a single soul
For which a vessel of flesh forbade
Appease the sacrifice
To feed the creature and seal the fate
The journey begins
With a bleeding soul and broken wings
Determination
Separates the foe from kin
As forms approach
Odours foul as the wretched beast
They plague upon the traveller to send them to the east
Claws dig, deep beyond the skin
Snarling, crawling at the flesh exposed
Until this beast impales itself upon the oak
painful slumber ensues
The shaman appears
Dragged into an abode
Rife with the lingering scent of lilac and prosperity
With the hands of care and otherworldly implements
Through soul and frequency that cleanse the astral body
Wounds are sealed, bone is binded
Emerging from the bog
A creature of such awful yet benevolent nature
Upon the strings, rests its fingers
Feeding forests with the sounds of purity
From the distance
The strings are crying
Echoing through the expanse
In a Grove, the sacrifice stands tall
The dagger it sinks so deep
Bathed In claret
Returning now to the waterfall
Hands are scraped along the strings
The offering has been made
Now sealed in blood
Immersed in the bog
A creature of benevolent nature
Spewing musings of its grand adventures
The grim takes its rest

I’m very glad I set aside my preconceived notions of Job for a Cowboy for this record. It’s technical, exciting, and passionate. The songs veer all over the place, but there’s clearly a lot of planning and control to that chaos.

First WTF was google music actually throwing something good into my feed.
Second WTF was everything every goddamn member of this band does. This and the previous album have been on repeat for weeks. All other music tastes like diet water. Help. Gruso
